Shedding House 2026 Accommodation Reservations
Reservations & Usage:
・Please make reservations at least 3 days prior to your stay.
・Accommodations are room-only.
・For consecutive nights, kindly make separate reservations for each day.
Fees:
Payment must be made in advance by credit card.
Facility fee: 22,000 yen (tax included)

Infants = children from 3 years old to preschool age.
Reservations can be made for one person, but a facility use fee (22,000 yen) will be charged.

(Check-in will take place at Akashi no Yu, not at the Shedding House)

After the check-in briefing at Echigo-Tsumari Exchange Center Akashi no Yu, you will drive to the Shedding House by car (45-50 minutes).
*Since the molting house will be rented out as a single building, there will be no staff on site.
○Meals: Self-catering is possible in the kitchen.

The Australia House was built in 2012 as a symbol of the recovery from the earthquake and a testament to the exchange between Echigo-Tsumari and Australia. During the period when the artist-in-residence is not in residence, the general public is now able to stay at the house. Visitors can enjoy the experience of staying in the architectural space created by the artist, enjoy the artworks installed inside and outside the building all to themselves, and also enjoy the great location surrounded by abundant nature.

(Please note that check-in will be held at Akashi no Yu, not at Australia House.)

After the check-in briefing at Echigo-Tsumari Exchange Center Akashi no Yu, you will drive to the molting house by your own car (about 50 minutes).
Echigo-Tsumari Exchange Center Akashi no Yu is located in the same building as Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art MonET.
It is a day-trip bathing facility, so please feel free to take a bath if you like.
Australia House is a one-building rental, so there will be no staff on site.
Fees
Facility fee 12,000 yen + 3,000 yen for adults, 1,500 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and 1,000 yen for infants.

Not included. Please come prepared. You can also prepare your own meals in the facilities.

Bath
Shower only. There is a one-day hot spring in a nearby village (about 5 minutes by car).

Upon arrival at Dream House, you will receive guidance from the village staff for about 30minutes.
Please note that Dream House is a renovated old house, but it is not air-conditioned.
