The first time people flew the skies was in a hot air balloon.
Do you want to enjoy the magnificent scenery of Hakuba’s surroundings on board of one of our hot air balloons?

The morning course runs for about 5 minutes and takes you 30m up in the sky for you to enjoy the amazing scenery. The memory of shimmering light and wild beauty of the Northern Alps will be hard to forget.

It is usually held from 6 am to 7 am,
After making a reservation, we will contact you to confirm the session time.
During the busy season, session times might begin as early as 5 am.
And because the wind is more stable earlier in the morning, earlier the reservation the better.

You can now enjoy this experience with friends and family including your dog!
For bigger dog weighing 20 kg or more, please inquire us about private session.

Let's go rafting in Saigawa (Sai River)!
It is one of the upsteams of the longest river in Japan - Shinano River.
The relatively gentle current is perfect for beginners and kids (age 6 and up).
There will be life jackets for everyone, so even if you cannot swim, you will be able to enjoy rafting with ease.

Group course: You might share a raft with others. Great chance to build new bonds while conquering the river through teamwork together.

Language: Specific language request for our rafting guide is available in a private tour option.

Saigawa vs Himekawa:
・ The Sai River is wider and has more waterflow, so the waves feel bigger. There is a good balance of calm water and rapids, so you can jump and swim from the boat along the way. Located about 50 minutes by car from Hakuba Village.
The river difficulty level of Saigawa is 2: Novice.
・ Himekawa is narrower and has less waterflow in comparison of Saigawa. Cannot swim in Himekawa but the water is very clean and conveniently located in Hakuba Village.
The river difficulty level of Himekawa is 2.5 and sometimes 3:Intermediate when the water rises.

New activity, Packraft☆!

Packraft is an inflatable boat shaped like a canoe, a one-person version of a rafting boat!
Packraft, born in Alaska, is a very maneuverable vehicle that can be enjoyed by one person!

The Saigawa River is a wide river with stable water volume and recommended for first time experience!
It is truly a river for packrafting!

This is a good deal online booking only that includes rafting, BBQ, and a bath ticket☆

Exhilarating rafting with the spectacular view of Hakuba!
Formed from the melting snow of the Nagano mountains,
Himekawa (Hime River) has the amazing combination of clear water and the splendid view of Hakuba mountains.

From family with small children (age 6+), company training/retreat, group trip to couple vacation, everyone can have a great time!

Due to danger of gnats and horseflys in the clear stream during summer, this tour will not be held during the Obon festival period.

Charter is the best deal for a group of 6 people.

*Please note that when the water volume is low, the capacity of one boat may need to be limited to 4 or 5 people, in which case the boats may be split up for the experience.

This is a special seasonal plan online booking only that includes rafting on the Himekawa River in Hakuba Village and BBQ at Momi no Ki Hotel's gorgeous glamping restaurant☆

The dates are limited, so you'll be lucky if the date you want is available.
This plan also include access to the Momi no Ki Hotel's Shobei no Yu hot spring.

Enjoy rafting and barbecue and relax in the hot springs afterwards!

Originated from Hawaii, SUP (Stand-up Paddleboard)!
It might be difficult to paddle while keeping your balance, but it is the best way to experience the wind and the water first hand.
For experienced guests, you can bring along your dog for the ride too.
When the water is cold, there are wetsuit available for rental.


Children (lower elementary school grade/age 9 or below) must be accompanied by an adult on the same SUP.
Children (age 10 or above) can ride by themselves as a new challenge.

This oversized SUP can accommodate up to 8 adults.
(This price is for 5 people)
It is recommended for groups with many children or large groups, as it is very stable and there is no risk of tipping over. Children can participate from the age of 3 years old.
If rented together with a one-person SUP, it is possible to switch between the two!

For groups of 4 or less, we also have Family SUP that are easy to operate!

A mid-size SUP that can accommodate up to 4 adults or a total weight of 280 kg.
As known as a "Family SUP," is now available!
(This price is for 4 people)

It is hard to flip over, so it can be shared by several people, such as those who are worried about riding alone, those who want to ride with their dogs, or those who want to ride with their children.

For groups of 5 or more adults, please use the BIG SUP which can accommodate up to 8 people.
The BIG SUP is very heavy, so for less than 5 people, we recommend the Family SUP which is easy to operate.

Feel free to rent a boat and explore the lake☆

The boat is stable and anyone can operate it easily!
We will explain how to operate the boat beforehand, so don't worry.


If your dog weighs less than 15 kg, you can experience it with your dog!

We rent sit-on kayaks as rental canoes.
The open deck makes it easy to get in and out of the canoe!

※If a big dog jumps into the lake, even the owner cannot return it to the boat.
We recommend a Bow wow raft picnic with guide, especially for beginners with big dogs.

Canadian canoe is a large boat for two people☆

It is recommended for those who want to experience it easily, as it is basically constructed to keep out of the water!
The high propulsive force of the canadian canoe allows two people paddling together to make rapid progress and feel like you are part of the natural surroundings!
Since the boat is easily affected by the wind, we offer this tour in the morning when the wind is relatively calm.

Please note that the experience may be cancelled if the wind is strong.

Clear SUPs are now available at Lake Aoki☆!
This is the first time it has appeared in Nagano Prefecture!

SUPs are made of transparent material, so you can feel as if you are standing directly on the water!
The SUPs are also highly maneuverable, so you can easily move around on the lake!

This is a great activity for Lake Aoki where the water is crystal clear!

Clear kayaks are now available on Lake Aoki☆
This activity allows you to enjoy the high transparency of Lake Aoki to the fullest!

The boat is made of a transparent material, so you can observe the surface of the water from the bottom of the boat!
Let's try the mysterious sensation of floating on the water!

Clear kayak is a very stable boat.
It is easy to operate even for beginners!

The best feature of the kayak tour is the close proximity to the water☆.

You can enjoy the lake from the perspective of a waterfowl as you sit almost at the same height as the surface of the water!
We rent downriver kayaks.

Once you get used to paddling, it is so much fun that you can go anywhere faster and swifter than you think, and you will surely get addicted to it!

The calm lake does not have strong current flow, so it is safe even for younger children. Kids from the age of 4 and above are welcome to join.
Recommend for families with small children and elderly to join together so 3 or even 4 generations of families can enjoy the lake together.

Charter boats are available for children as young as 2 years old☆.

The boat is large enough to be used for rafting, so you don't have to worry about it tipping over.
On warm days, you can jump in and play, touch the water, and look into the water with goggles. You can also enjoy the scenery of Lake Aoki without leaving the boat!

Enjoy Lake Aoki to the fullest!

Take a leisurely walk on the lake with your dog in a big boat!

With Bow Wow Raft Picnic, whether your dog doesn't like water or loves to jump in, you can experience it on a stable rafting boat with a guide.

Especially for large dogs weighing 25 kg or more, it is difficult to get them back into the boat if they jump in from a small rental boat, so please join us at the Bow Wow Raft Picnic.
*The boat is large enough to accommodate 10 adults with plenty of room to spare.

Gelato type ice cream made with Shinshu milk and natural vanilla beans.
It is chilled over a bowl of ice while being mixed and hardened.

Kusaki Dyeing is a dyeing method using natural dyes from trees and plants.
Squeeze a rubber band and soak the cloth, then dye it in various patterns to create a memorable Hakuba experience.

Natural stones are carefully polished to a gem-like finish while shaping them with sandpaper.

Come on board to explore the lake full of fireflies! Only the locals know that, even though hardly seen from the shore, the lake becomes full of shimmering lights at night. Join us on a fantastic venture of watching the fireflies dance on a fine night. The best days to look for fireflies are little cloudy and humid, just after rain, they are more likely to come out than after a dry and sunny day. Genji firefly is mostly seen in July and with coming August, the Heike firefly appears. Let’s capture some of the summer memories hopping by!
