The zoo has a lot of animals in a relatively small space, and is very good value for money to enter compared to other large zoos around the world. However the living facilities are small and dated for a lot of the animals, leading to less than ideal living conditions for many of the species. I think some updating is definitely needed to bring the enclosires up to a better standard. Also food offerings aren't great quality, disappointing by Tokyo standards.
