Unlike ordinary calligraphy, where one keeps one's mind quiet and focused and faces a half-sheet of paper alone, the calligraphy is written on a huge whole sheet of paper with a heavy brush. This writing process is expressed as a performance. - First, let's learn about common Japanese calligraphy. You will gain a deeper understanding of the difference between calligraphy as a form of character decoration (caligraphy), which also exists overseas, and Japanese “shodo” (calligraphy). Not only can you write your favorite kanji characters as calligraphy, but the calligraphy master will also apply the kanji to the names of our foreign guests and you can write their guesses. Since each kanji character has its own meaning, it will be fun and refreshing to learn what the characters used in your name mean. - Samurai Calligraphy Works as Memories You can take home as a souvenir the Kanji characters you finished writing with the extra-large brush. It is also a unique souvenir unique to Japan - Master brush strokes by teachers The Japanese aesthetic sense includes the “beauty of margins,” and it is believed that by being conscious of margins, not only the text but also the space becomes more beautiful. Quench your thirst with iced green matcha tea during the summer months. ■Activity Attire Hakama, dogi and tabi for men, kimono and tabi for women (Children's version is also available for children over 6 years old) We also provide a set of essential tools for the samurai to experience the armor. ■Preparation Clothing Please bring or bring undershirts and underpants (T-shirts are acceptable) to wear as innerwear for Hakama and Kimono.
