This course was excellent and I was very impressed with Sumida sensei's demonstration and  instruction. There was a positive balance between theory and practice as well as between seriousness and a  little relevant humour.
Sumida sensei was very patient - he needed to be ! - and consistent. 

I found I needed time to internalise the instructions but the outcome was very good - successful tatami mat cutting. 
I would not hesitate to recommend this course  to anyone interested in samurai swordmanship, both the history and the practice.
