Nijō Castle is a highlight in Kyoto - it showcased the palace design and infrastructure of the Edo Period. The attraction is well maintained and clean albeit a tiny bit lackluster compared to the grandeur of Chinese royal palaces. It would be a more enjoyable experience if English tours are more accessible. Overall, a great place to visit highly recommended.
